Nematus alniastri on Alder at Cali Heath Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reserve recently. Numbers of larvae of #yorkshiresawflies still low, but have picked up the last few weeks, so maybe delayed emergence following heat of late summer? YNU
Quite a decent variety of #yorkshiresawflies appearing locally now. Clockwise from top left...Euura pavida, Heterarthrus microcephalus, Nematus cf. acuminatus and Tenthredo scrophulariae. All within a few square metres at #AllerthorpeCommon this am. YNU

A female Neodiprion sertifer just emerged from larvae found by Adam Parker 🤟🤖 is in need of biscuits. at a York P&R and collected by me back in May. Also have a couple of males emerged, but too flighty for a photo. #yorkshiresawflies YNU
