Quiet night in the spinney, just the Muntjac but no sign of badgers or foxes. Why this is quite staggering though is that this little wood, aprox 180 m x 80 m is surrounded by housed on all sides. It also holds Buzzards, wrens and all manner of birds #gardenwildlife

Tallied 33 species today West Midland Bird Club Harborne Reserve. Highlight was a trio of Sparrowhawks. Bonus Fox and Muntjac.

When you are out early in the morning, it's not unusual to see these fallow deer, although there were 5 of them today, the most I've seen together. Muntjac and roe deer are also resident in the Worth Valley.

This deer says… woof? Meet the Muntjac deer. This ungulate makes bark-like calls to alert others of approaching predators like tigers. If attacked, the muntjac may bite its foes with its long canine teeth.

Trophies come in various guises. For me it was the experience of being out at 1st light, immersed in nature, secondly harvesting a Muntjac to aid local biodiversity & thirdly an amazing breakfast less than an hour after pulling the trigger. #trophyhunting #conservation #hunting

Last night, this vixen brought her two cubs to the #YewView feeding station. This morning, one cub appeared there at 11am! So tiny! You can watch this cam, live, on my website and there is badger, muntjac and fox activity from early evening. 🦊🦡🦌

It’s been a mammal y sort of day. Stoat, water vole, muntjac, roe, common shrew, water shrew and of course wood-mouse. A number of blue tits are already sitting on eggs.

I was wondering if the #Trailcam sensitivity, although set to high was missing footage but a wee mouse in the wee hours proves its sensitive alright !

So after along time a new memory card seems to have sorted one camera
92 videos and 92 pics mainly of the local cats
But some nice Muntjac footage and two badgers though they came separately and at different times
I will try new memory card in other camera

I successfully reunited a muntjac fawn with its mother today after it was fenced in on the wrong side of the walled garden. The doe, (mother) stood her ground throughout and was very vocal.
