For me #HedgehogAwarenessWeek was very special with Spud the Hedgehog being taken for release followed by Mr Prickles, who Iβd overwintered, being released.
Hereβs short video of his release that also tells some of the story of his care.

Been a few years since I last had a hedgehog in my garden. Now have one using my compost bin as a home. Has a feed then exits into neighbours garden via access hole in the fence. Returns a few hours later. π #Hedgehogs LaBMammalGroup
Bank voles - it didnβt take them long to realise there was an easy stash of nuts being put out for them! LaBMammalGroup Mammal Society
Veering towards Pygmy Shrew (Sorex minutus) based on length of tail being relatively long, colour paler brown and snout more conical. Unmarked as far as I could see, possibly dropped by a raptor? On E-W path across Goose Green. LaBMammalGroup Scottish Wildlife Trust ENHS
Out small mammal trapping with a group at Mauldsheugh Wood Community Wildlife Project in Selkirk this morning. We caught two Wood Mice and a Bank Vole. Was great to be able to show the difference between mice and voles.
