Are children to be protected from life shortening illness? Yes! All children. They deserve to be safe in public spaces. That means breathing cleaned air.

Irene Corman When she speaks publicly there are no consequences. She can lie as much as she wants. When she speaks in a legal context, there are consequences so she tells the truth.
Irene Corman I don't know if her definition for 'variant of concern' is correct or not.
But if it is....
She said that each of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Omicron and XBB are HIGHER risks to public health than the original strain?????
But now we do NOTHING????
Yes, shouting.

UK Health Security Agency Vaccines are indeed the best protection, but they cannot do the job on their own.
Yet, we have zero advocacy or investment for mitigations vs airborne transmission, a massively restricted and lagged vaccine programme, and limited access to antivirals in the community.
Why?
It is puzzling, no, actually it is reprehensible, that children spending their whole day in classrooms (and itโs not a choice) are seen by the people who are responsible for keeping them safe, as undeserving of what the World Health Organization (WHO) says is needed to ensure safe indoor air.
IPAC Canada Hand hygiene (dark blue) as a strategy was FAR behind those that included PPE. Once again, I ask that the default hand hygiene dogma that is widely promoted by Public Health and IPAC be de-emphasized in combatting largely AIRBORNE viruses. Invest wisely.

Healthcare ROI:
'PPEย +ย intervention would have averted the highest number of new SARS-CoV-2 infections compared to the other two interventions, ranging from 6562 (95% CI 4873โ8779) to 38,170 (95% CI 33,853โ41,901) new infections per 100,000 health workers'
