Recent BTO ringing recoveries inc. two Wigeon (ringed November 2020 at Bank Island) which were both recovered recently in Komi in Russia, over 3200 km east of the - presumably on or close to their breeding areas York Birding

Checking my recordings from last night after Jono Leadley reports a Wood sandpiper flying North from LDV NNR Wheldrake ings about 10pm. I find this on the recording about 10:10pm. My 19th wader species recorded from the garden.

A morning of birdsong today at Wheldrake Ings with up to 9 Warblers heard in the overcast conditions.
Even the Garganey in the early morning solitude at Bank Island scrape was emitting his dry rattle.
