In this splendid #mosaic #emblema from #Pompeii via #Naples , we see the marine wedding of #Neptune , god of the sea, and Amphitrite, a nymph. But supreme executive power derives from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony! Not on #MosaicMonday it doesn't.
