Channeled spirits at Dead Poets Reading! In undergrad, my friends and I watched the movie. We started reading dead poets in the basement, and later I was inspired to write a story published in @qwertymagazine.bsky.social about three friends in a poet society! Everything comes full circle! ⭐️

I'm so honoured to be Longlisted for the CBC Short Story Prize for a story close to my heart! 😊

The narrative is a soft, dreamy realist story with Chinese myth elements which I wrote shortly after my grandmother's struggle with Alzheimer's and death.
