Next up is this Tandy 1000 TL/2. Seems like a nice progression from the previous Tandy 1000. It is dirty and dusty inside and out. But all looks to be there.

Good news floppy came back to life bad news that old “XT IDE” HDD is dead. So using an XTIDE adapter. Now installing Deskmate to get this machine back to as close to stock to get that original Tandy experience.

This Tandy 1000 TL/2 is all cleaned up and re-assembled. That fast ROM boot is nice. The 286 on an 8 bit board is odd. But that Tandy video and sound is very nice. A young me would have jumped at this over my XT+CGA.
