Red-banded leafhopper
Order: Hemiptera
Family: Cicadellidae

This insect is a common agricultural pest as it spreads Xylella fastidiosa (pierce’s disease) which affects crop quality/yield and also caused this weed to suck ass

This is a spittlebug nymph (Hemiptera:Cercopoidea). They form this protective covering that resembles saliva but is actually made up of foamed-up plant sap. If you happen to find suspicious 'spit' on plants, high chance you'd find these little bugs hiding in them! 🫧𖢥🫧

Couldn't believe how flat this Cardinal Beetle (Pyrochroa sp.) larva is!😍

Also saw two flatbugs separately, a female Aneurus avenius and what was presumably a male of the same species. A very flat sort of day all round🙂

i was bored so i started making a video on trying to figure out which order the bug characters belong to, so far i’ve decided bugbo is hemiptera ( i think it’s fitting because, true bug! ) and gerbo is an acarina, so his “antennae” are actually pedipalps!
