Barriers are down on the cemetery to crossroads part of the cycle lane. Haven't had a chance to check the northern section yet. Everyone shaken by the incident in Dun Laoghaire, a relief to have this section open now while other parts are being completed. Safe cycling everyone.

The DOTr continues to promote non-motorized transport (NMT), such as cycling and walking, as well as the use of light electric vehicles (LEVs), as sustainable modes of transport, in line with the NTP and PDP.

Much of Ottawa’s waterfront is dedicated to wide roads for cars, with some areas having a small space for a shared pedestrian/cycling path & grass/trees - first pic.

But imagine if this land was transformed completely - parkland, paths, homes, shops - last 3 pics.
