Preparations for the 3rd Corvedale Festival are in full swing. Come & join us on 11.05.24 @ 6pm for a launch evening of food and music c/o Artists-in-Residence Jarualda Quartet playing Haydn Op 76 No 2 , Beethoven Op 18 No 6 and Dvorak's fabulous 'American' quartet 🤩🎻🎻🎻🎻❤️
How typically English is this - winter sunshine on sheep near St James’ Church at Shipton, in the Corvedale. I was driving past and just had to stop when I spotted that it was feeding time. Appropriately, it is thought that the name Shipton means ‘sheep farm’. #Shropshire
A magical morning in the Corvedale, with the skeletal shapes of trees rising above the mist. I spotted this scene near Much Wenlock while driving along the Craven Arms road. I wedged the car in what must be the narrowest lay-by in #Shropshire and managed to get this shot.
Lovely Corvedale - my view from the summit of Brown Clee, looking across Wenlock Edge towards Caradoc. The Breidden Hills are to the right, with the Berwyn Mountains are on the horizon. In the foreground is the village of Holdgate, once known as Holegot Castle. #Shropshire
What a thrill to hear Dvořák's 'American' on BBC Radio 3 on the same day that Jarualda Quartet performs this gorgeous work to launch the 3rd Corvedale Festival 🤩
7.30pm start, Diddlebury Village Hall, Shropshire - come on and join us 🎻🎻🎻🎻❤️
An ethereal view of Apedale at sunrise, seen from Caer Caradoc, near Church Stretton. In the foreground is Hill End, with Wenlock Edge in the middle distance and Corvedale beyond. #Shropshire
What a glorious sight - ponies on Brown Clee, with their coats gleaming in the sunshine. Beyond is the Corvedale, stretching out towards the Long Mynd and Caradoc. This was a day when the wind was so fierce that it was difficult to stay upright #Shropshire bit.ly/2wrY5i4

A beautiful spring day in the Corvedale, full of sunshine, birdsong and the bleating of sheep. The early-morning light was magical for this view across the gardens of Shipton Hall towards St James’ Church, which dates from the 12th century. #Shropshire bit.ly/2wrY5i4
