Ten minutes out the back garden with the Merlin bird app this morning identifies a wren, blue-tit, blackcap, wood pigeon, grey wagtail, collared dove, blackcap, chaffinch and robin.

Another 6 mile Patchwork Challenge walk on other parts of the patch this evening. Singleton Lake held 1 Kingfisher, 1 GC Grebe, 2 broods of Mallard, pair of Canada Geese, 4 young Moorhens & 1 young Coot. The Greylags have 6 goslings. Singing Greenfinch, Blackcaps & Chiffchaffs.
