I'm not sure what 31209 was doing with this rake of HAA wagons at Derby on 31st October 1981 (apart from going very slowly - such work was usually the preserve a Type 4 loco or 2x Cl. 20's) but it makes for a nostalgic picture.

Morning all, time for #ThirtyOnesOnThursday ! Here's 31323 at York on Saturday 22/8/1981, with a Hull - Edinburgh train. Not sure whether this was timetabled or an Adex - anyone? Either way, the excellent railgenarchive.co.uk says it failed later & had to be assisted by 26002.
