One of my favorite things about going to dinner at my parents' house is finding my mom's quilting masterpieces just sitting out, mid project, and seeing her be all like 'oh this old thing? I just threw that together with scraps because I was bored' when we acknowledge it.
No bones yet but my S bend corset already has a good shape by quilting tailoring canvas (hymo) to my coutil lining and then pin rolling the silk moire for an extra smooth finish 🪡
Yesterday I officially launched the Quilting Exhibition by four Connemara-based groups in Leitir Mealláin.
The creativity and craftmanship that was on display was nothing short of remarkable. It is open this week in the local community hall so please call in.
