For #GlobalBigDay2023 I am inside my apt. It’s raining again today! Here’s a Sandhill Crane colt close up. I have followed and documented this family all summer. What an experience it was! Countless hours of observing and enjoyment were had just sitting and photographing them.
For #GlobalBigDay2023 I will start to show my most recent pics at a new pond. One very special subject there, a Sandhill Crane colt. A nice couple told me about them. Yes, there were two colts. Now there is one, predator prob took the other. Yes, nature is difficult!

A #GlobalBigDay2023 in northwest Mayo, because ( I suppose?) someone had to. Very pleased with 110 species in 15hrs of birding, with 6 more seen the day before or after. Not much time for pics, but the Corn Crakes were amazing & Purple Sand was a bonus.
