This weekend, The Duchess of Edinburgh was in Tigray in Ethiopia to see the work of UNICEF, in response to the devastating and far-reaching impact of conflict related sexual violence (CRSV) and gender-based violence.

I was honoured to welcome HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh to Kyiv, in connection with her vital work on conflict-related sexual violence #CRSV . The UK stands with Ukraine in supporting the victims of this horrific war crime and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Tackling illicit #SALW is one of the most critical tools to torrefy #CRSV .

I urge the women & peace & security experts to engage & collaborate closely in the Review Conference in June to advance gender-responsive arms control.

#CRSV is not an inevitable consequence of conflict.
