What beats are not a hollowed-out shell at the LA Times? How many non-white journalists got fired today? How does management expect to grow their audience when you fire the people who do the work of growing your audience? What if we ran news like a public service and not a biz?

This sucks so badly. The LA Times 404 team was so good and such an inspiration to the few of us out there trying to make journalism accessible to young people via TikTok/Reels.
