Whitstable (garden) 25/9/ Dewick's Plusia. Had waited nearly 20years for this species till last year, this is my 3rd this year ! Also 14 Delicate KentMoths Migrant Lepidoptera

Zelleria Oleastrella NFG, Dartford. Not many British records, it seems. This is the 4th recorded for Kent and the 1st seen away from Hythe. Migrant from Spain or import? The current warm southerlies perhaps favour the former.

Bright wave moth in their 100's ,adding to the ever increasing range of new species colonising this 100ha plain of new wildflower grasslands.Ruderal bumble bee, sussex emerald, 6 belted clearwing, pyr' ostrinalis & 2nd gen' small blue also on show. Farmers leading nature recov'👍

A great day-flying moths survey with Natural England volunteers today at Stodmarsh NNR🦋
Moths that can more typically be seen as coastal species were found inland including our Magnificent Moth Species: 13 Bright Wave, 2 Sussex Emerald, 6 Cynaeda dentalis & 5 Sitochroa palealis.

Mothing in the iconic Orlestone Forest, Kent, last week produced 140+ species, with at least 17 lifers for me incl Great Oak Beauty, Epiblema foenella &, most surprisingly, Rannoch Looper.

An odd record for Ruckinge last night was this Sand Dart, only the second inland record for Kent
