What can I say about this book - it is exceptional and covers the emotional and deprivation challenges some children face so sensitively. I will definitely be sharing - thank you to Tom Percival for another brilliant read. Kate Daniell (Wigley)
I love this book by Tom Percival Simon & Schuster Children's Books. As someone who grew up with The Wrong Shoes, this book is a must-read in helping to develop empathy and understanding. Brilliant illustrations capture the challenges & consequences of childhood poverty.

Today is the cover reveal for TJ Klune’s “The Bones Beneath My Skin” Thanks to Katie Klim and everyone at Tor Books (Check Mark) for trusting me and my penchant for practical effects.
You know, I've seen some lovely reviews for the Wrong Shoes from adults and don't get me wrong, that's GREAT, but knowing that young people are reading the book and REALLY getting it, is just amazing!

In today's video about the themes in The Wrong Shoes, I talk about the choices that Will has to make over the course of the book. Some of these are good choices and some of them... well, some of them are less good. Simon & Schuster Children's Books StoryWise Agency
Cilgerran by Cerys Hafana is an absolutely sublime piece of music. Magical, transcendent and just beautiful. In fact all the songs on EDYF are fantastic and I can’t recommend listening to it enough.

Here is today's video on the themes within my new children's novel, The Wrong Shoes published by Simon & Schuster Children's Books This video explores the hope and suggestion of magic that runs within the book and is a comfort to the protagonist, Will, when he feels at his lowest.
Today I am reading The Wrong Shoes by Tom Percival and I'm finding it bringing back so many memories that are hard, because I was a Wrong Shoes kid, but let me tell you this is so, so good, and opening on shoes is genius and here's why....
