It’s that time of year when ‘Even-more-Nordic’ Jackdaws start appearing, like the bird on the left here. Most birds in Malmö are typical of the bird on the right, or with a little more of a collar, so birds like the one on the left are presumably coming from further N and/or E.

Encouraging diversity in birding = “supporting perverts”? I wonder what Charlie Farrell’s views are on women and people of colour?

I will, by the way, continue to “bang on” about “the Pride nonsense” for as long as comments like this continue to exist.

There’s been a steady stream of Tree Pipits and Yellow Wagtails going over the apartment here in all morning. By lunchtime I’d cracked and left British Birds duties for an hour down on the coast. Worth it for the two juvie Red-backed Shrikes I found :)

BTO Sacha Dench Friday 8th September sees Stephen Menzie take to the stage for the Friday Evening RSPB British Birds Lecture at the Spurn Migration Festival.

Well-versed in bird moult or never thought about it? This talk is not to be missed!
