It is both icy & not icy along the trail today... We've paused grooming operations for now, but are still dreaming of snow. Today: skiers 0, fat bikers 2, swimmers 4, runners 5, walkers lots.

Beware of ice if you head out, still full coverage west of Shefford, but ~20% is ice.

An NCC contractor is expected to be on the trail today assessing wind damage. What little snow is left should be hard enough that if you don't see the truck, you won't know they were there.. We'll see what can be done with the remaining snow before the weekend. (img: AI truck)

Andy and I were out this evening, @skiheritageeast has been groomed from Willow to the NCC River House.
Some classic reset, but mostly untouched and a bit icy.
Skate is good+ west of Green's Creek, with ice @ Blair/RYC boat ramps, med to large exposed patches east of Green's.

Our @skiheritageeast GFM update from today: 'Get outside and enjoy a gorgeous day on the trail.

The tracks are freshly groomed and there is local art along the way.'

The fat bikes we got to try out at the Dominion City Brewing Co.’s Snow Day event were provided by Full Cycle Ottawa and I’ve learned you can actually rent them out! Winter had better not be over yet! 🚲☃️

A little off-piste grooming today for City of Ottawa / Rawlson King in Rockcliffe Park Residents Association. A short trail packed a few days ago and again today as an alternative to plowing it. A few laps around the Dog park behind Ottawa New Ed Club for good measure as well ;)

We've groomed @skiheritageeast from end to end, action shots of @nordicsnomonkey crossing Green's Creek. Skate and classic in great shape! A few thin spots, but very good overall.

I tried fat biking for the first time today! It was Awesome!
