If you donate to a nonprofit, you should be able to deduct that from your taxes regardless of how you file. I’m cosponsoring Sen. James Lankford & Senator Chris Coons’s bipartisan bill to create a new charitable giving deduction so anyone who donates to a nonprofit can get a tax benefit.
Our state’s health systems provide essential lifelines to so many communities. I spoke to Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) about how we can continue to support access to high-quality medical care and strengthen our healthcare workforce.
We're less than 100 days out from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris! As co-chair of the Senate Olympic and Paralympic Caucus with Michael Bennet, it was great to meet with Sarah Hirshland Sarah Hirshland to discuss what's in store for this year's games. Rooting for Team USA! 🇺🇸
Our country is forever indebted to the millions of women who took assembly line jobs, worked farm fields, or treated injured troops during WWII. Thank you Senator Bob Casey for honoring our ‘Rosie the Riveters’ with Congressional Gold Medals.
My former colleague and friend Senator Feinstein was a trailblazer and her mark on our country will never be forgotten. Thank you Senator Alex Padilla and Senator Laphonza Butler for ensuring Senator Feinstein’s legacy lives on.
Thank you to Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), a crucial ally in the push for a new farm bill this year, for stopping by our legislative fly-in. MN is the 2nd largest pork-producing state in the country, & we appreciate her leadership for giving producers a seat at the table. #NPPCLAC2024
I’m committed to supporting Senator Ben Cardin & Senator Chris Van Hollen as they work around the clock to get the resources needed to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge. In 2007, Congress came together to quickly help Minnesota rebuild the I-35W bridge. We need to do the same now.
