Happy Mother’s Day!!

One year ago today, I voted for the strongest border security legislation in history to end President Biden’s border crisis.

This package would finish the border wall, restore ‘Remain in Mexico,’ end radical ‘catch-and-release’ policies, and fully fund our border patrol agents.

Today marks one year since House Republicans passed the STRONGEST border security bill in history, yet Joe Biden and Extreme Democrats refuse to pass H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023.

This week, 2 bills that I introduced passed the House Ways & Means Committee.

My Rural Hospital Stabilization Act will help keep rural #IA04 hospitals open & my Audio-Only Telehealth Access Act will help our seniors & rural communities access healthcare.

This week, my Rural Hospital Stabilization Act passed the House Ways & Means Committee.

My bill ensures hospitals that serve rural #IA04 can remain open and operational, hire and retain healthcare workers & deliver high-quality care to seniors and families in rural communities.

The Secure the Border Act would:

✅Restart construction of the border wall
✅End catch-and-release
✅Deploy technology to Southern AND Northern Border

We need to keep China away from our farmland.

That’s why I introduced legislation — which passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 407 to 26 — to ban China from buying American farmland suitable for homegrown energy production. #IA04

This week, my Audio-Only Telehealth Access Act passed the House Ways and Means Committee!

This legislation extends access to over-the-phone telehealth services for our seniors and rural communities with limited broadband connectivity. #IA04

Drug traffickers don’t deserve to keep a dollar they make from smuggling fentanyl & other deadly substances.

That’s why I introduced legislation to use money seized from the drug cartels by our border patrol agents to finish the wall and keep deadly fentanyl away from our kids.

I’m sad to hear about the passing of Trooper Rose Hoyt (Ives) who served our communities in Council Bluffs and Southwest Iowa.

Our law enforcement officers make incredible sacrifices to keep our families safe.

My prayers are with her family and loved ones.

Our hospitals are vital to providing quality care to our rural #IA04 communities.

But too many of our local hospitals face financial challenges.

This morning, I had the opportunity to meet w/ DSMpartnership members to talk about my work to extend pro-growth provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, keep rural hospitals open & pass a strong Farm Bill for #IA04 .

Yesterday, my Rural Hospital Stabilization Act passed the House Ways & Means Committee.

This legislation will provide financial support to our rural hospitals to ensure that they can continue to deliver high-quality care, hire and retain healthcare workers, and support patients.

We need to balance our budget and cut wasteful spending so that we don’t leave future generations of Americans indebted to China and other foreign nations.

Iowa is the breadbasket of the world, providing food, fuel, and fiber for our country and the world. Hawkeye State producers need a 5-year #FarmBill and they need it now!
