Black Tern Clifton Pit Attenborough NR this evening. Notts Birdwatchers Attenborough Reserve Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust
A nice way to finish off the long weekend - watching two Black Terns at Kilvington Lakes, found earlier this evening by Paper Automaton. Never the easiest to try and video!
Totally bliss at Kilvington Lakes yesterday evening. Hot weather, summer migrants back in full force, gorgeous drive through the countryside, and 2 Black Terns touching distance away (literally). What more could you want.

5 Arctic Terns (2, 1, 2) N through Collingham Pits this morning, along with the 1st Wood Sand of the year and the 13th Bar-wit (picked up by AlfieBirder as it dropped in), plus 6 Swifts appearing as the rain eased. Definitely worth a good soaking for.
Another Arctic Tern at Netherfield Lagoons this morning looking as graceful as ever in the freezing torrential rain. Hopefully one or two more still to come this afternoon.
