Not gonna lie, if you put pronouns in your email signature, I take you less seriously.

It’s like ending it with your astrological sign, an admission that you ascribe to a pseudoscientific dogma.

If admin don't hold the line on small things, they'll get bigger problems.

Instead of detentions for uniform infractions, they'll be calling the police for violence.

The real school-to-prison pipeline is excusing small misbehaviors, causing them to escalate.

100% true. School is the time to teach kids expected behaviors when they still have the luxury of inappropriate behaviors being relatively inconsequential to their future adult lives.

Thank you to everyone who has bought a copy.

Maybe buy a copy for your local school board members too... and admin... and kids' teachers... and a second for yourself just in case.

I've never met a teacher who enjoyed fads and pendulum swings, but I've met a lot of leaders who have! Countless meetings where the discussion revolved around how to make the school look innovative, always by putting it on teachers to change everything they're doing.

Chicago is set to implement a 'holistic' safety plan--removing school resource officers and implement restorative 'justice'

It's a gift to bullies and misbehaving students.

As a history of the parent’s movement, 'The Parent Revolution' is a welcome and constructive contribution.

Where the media exonerates public officials and slanders parents, DeAngelis tells the truth of pandemic closures and culture battles over schools.

Grades should be used to incentivize behaviors that are conducive to learning, and to disincentivize not working and doing things that are detrimental to learning.

This isn’t even mildly controversial among parents, a primary stakeholder group.

People telling me today that it’s good that Common Core disincentivized memorization and also that one of its fatal flaws is how it disincentivized memorization

For the record, memorization is good. “Storing new knowledge in long term memory” is essentially all that learning is
