As we look ahead, I have no doubt WA will seize the opportunities of a future made in Australia.

The Greens set back this country’s efforts to tackle climate change by more than a decade when they voted down the Rudd Government’s CPRS.

The Albanese Government is taking real action on climate change.

Both stones and their accompanying pieces highlight the importance of Earth Science to Australian culture and society.

Gas is an incredibly important part of efforts to reach net zero.

We need gas to firm our electricity network and to process the critical minerals we need for the transition.

Those seeking to damage this industry only make that task of reducing emissions harder.

Wonderful to see increased interest from the US in Australian rare earth projects.

The Australian Strategic Materials (ASM) announcement follows my recent trip to Washington.

These projects create jobs and will help us meet our net zero targets.

Workers deserve to come home safe from a shift or a long swing away from home.

I am deeply concerned at reports of two miners trapped in Ballarat.

My thoughts are with them, their families and their work mates in very difficult circumstances.
