We discussed key issues for🇪🇺social agenda: democracy at work, AI in labour, & social dialogue in EU candidate countries.

European Economic and Social Committee has an important role to play & will continue cooperation w/ Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales.

Wir haben eine engere Zusammenarbeit zwischen European Economic and Social Committee & Europäische Kommission - Vertretung in Deutschland besprochen, auch im Hinblick auf #EUelections2024 und Aktivitäten zur Einbindung der Zivilgesellschaft. This motto has guided my efforts in implementing the priorities of my mandate since April 2023.

After a year of dedicated work, delve deeper into the work on the priority 'Speak up for Europe: A more representative voice.' 👇

Violence towards elected politicians is always unacceptable.

I am shocked by the attack on PM Robert Fico, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

My thoughts are with his family and Slovak citizens.

Transparency, ethics & integrity are non-negotiable for EU institutions.

I welcome the creation of the Ethics Body, the initiative which European Economic and Social Committee supported from day one.

With #EUelections2024 around the corner it's a key step in strengthening people's trust in project Europe🇪🇺.

Europe cannot be silent when the civil society in Georgia is under attack.

Thousands of people are protesting the foreign influence law –their voice matters.

Georgia's government should respond to their demands &not oppress them.

Today, I signed a cooperation agreement w/ Roberta Metsola, strengthening our relations & the role of EESC as policy advisor.

The EESC and EP share the same objective of a more democratic & participatory Europe, where civil society has a greater involvement in 🇪🇺decision-making.

It is always a pleasure to catch up w/ Yolanda Díaz delving into our shared commitment to advancing a more inclusive and socially conscious Europe.

Great to discuss 'The future of the EU social agenda' at today's special #EuropeDay event in Madrid🇪🇸

Social dialogue is a cornerstone of our 🇪🇺social model and democratic values. We need strong social partners and civil society in the fight to safeguard our democratic Europe.

Today, Europe celebrates its anniversary.
We, celebrate peace, stability, & unity brought by 🇪🇺.

Europe is not just a peace project, but an idea of a better future. It is a future worth fighting for.

Let's stand up for Europe.
