Gen Z has lived through a 20-year war, housing market collapse, great recession, mass shootings, active shooter drills, global pandemic, racial unrest, climate change, virtual -and now cancelled- graduations. All they know is chaos. They've certainly earned the right to dissent.

The 2019 General Conference that doubled down on a cruel ban against LGBT folks serving as clergy in the United Methodist Church. That moment pushed me to come out, and it’s grown my faith. So glad to see our church begin the healing journey.
