We must invest in possibility now, knowing change won't happen linearly with advance warning. As crises collide the Overton window can shift what is edge, unlikely or even impossible into being plausible + normalised. We then need just, regenerative models ready to adopt quickly.

Some new research we’ve been working on Dark Matter Labs with CIVIC SQUARE on the real climate risks UK neighbourhoods face and why transformation we may need.

Happy to have this out there and hoping it helps move things forward.

Working with local residents on their design and maintenance, Antwerp is piloting tuinstraten (“garden streets”) in five districts across the city.

They improve resiliency (to flooding and heat), liveability and sociability—making these spaces calmer, greener and more beautiful.

This is for me the absolute key point of what is an essential contribution
