What do Ruk Da Rapper Abi Zakarian Աբի Զաքարյան nicola werenowska Ryan Leder Nathan sarah joy middleton Siddons all have in common? Oh yeah they’ve been commissioned by Derby Theatre in the last year. Just because it’s not happening in London doesn’t mean it’s not happening….
Huge thank you to all the brilliant actors we met today for Abi Zakarian Աբի Զաքարյան #Welfare Exciting to hear it off the page. More to see end of the week. Actors are remarkable- thank you. Great to spend time with Laura Ryder as our fab assistant director and of course Stuart Allen
Lots of thoughts on all of this; like so many other playwrights who don't automatically get offers or the option to 'turn to TV'. What I will say is that Sarah Brigham & Derby Theatre have been nothing but hugely supportive & committed to new writing. ps. come see my play ❤️
Hello The Stage Pls come and see new play by Abi Zakarian Աբի Զաքարյան on our main stage. Last season we had a new play by Ruk Da Rapper which you missed and one by Nathan which you also missed. Regional theatre is supporting new writing when we can. Pls support us when we do.

Just putting it out there that 2 of the most talented, professional & absolutely lovely actors I've *ever* been lucky enough to work with are Lilly Driscoll & Jessie Bedrossian. Both unique & both flying flags for sorely underrepresented communities. Hire them for all the things.💥
Sometimes absolutely the most deserving person gets the thing they absolutely deserve. A DYCP for the brilliant, fearless & tireless Lilly Driscoll is exactly this. Abris! ❤️💥
Really thrilled that my play Worthy Women has made the The Women’s Prize for Playwriting longlist this year. x
