It is correct, but unnecessary, to use the passive voice: He was graduated from the university.
Do not, however, drop from: John Adams graduated from Harvard. Not: John Adams graduated Harvard.

A little work update: Yesterday was my last day at Front Office Sports. Thank you to all the lovely people I worked with; I’m very proud of what we did together. … Now? I’m gonna take a breath and be a dad for a bit.

Really sad to hear that John Mutka, a staple of the Northwest Indiana sports scene for more than half a century, has died. A local icon who poured his heart and soul and damn near his whole life into covering region sports.

RIP to Region sports legend John Mutka. Words can’t convey the impact that John’s example meant to me coming up in NWI. We shared a lot of afternoons together at Brown Field and plenty of other venues. He was a giant in our industry and he was sharing news until his last breath.

Sorry to say, Sellout Crowd is finished. We had a blast, but a faulty financial structure from the start meant we had no chance at success. Jenni Carlson, Mike Sherman, Michael Lane, Jacquelyn Musgrove, Jay Spear, Bobby Howard and Kris Murray gave it their best shot.
