Beautiful day RSPB Bempton Cliffs spotting puffins and gannets!

Finally made it to the Saltee Islands, and they did not disappoint! These islands are of international importance, being home to more than 20,000 breeding seabirds, including puffins, gannets, guillemots, cormorants and manx shearwaters. 🇮🇪 🌊

In other news, had a bimble about in the motherland (Ramsey) eating delicious gelato and watching gannets diving.

The seabird equivalent of B & Q doing great business today as Gannets get down to some serious nest refurbishment.

downtown in the avian city
three hundred foot up,
escaping the delicate rains,
nesting, snuggling, mating,
those tender trails across the sky
from cliff to fish laden sea,
avoiding the gannets and razorbills,
but not the long camera lenses.
