I know it's strange
we find ourselves
ever more lonesome
than ever intended to
in that 1st damn place
finding exceedingly hard
to hit firmly on intention
rather getting accustomed
with circling all around it
accepting the status quo
like a final, resting place

Two Stones marked sunrise with a little Satisfaction from the groupies.
Michael Caine pointed angrily at Jim Morrison and Robby Krieger waiting in line.
“You’re only supposed to blow the bloody Doors off!”
Those 60s parties... I shall have to replace all the carpets.

take me back to when we valued real feelings, not phone notifications, and we could scrutinise each other's eyes, not just a filtered avi, and when the turn of each page made us jump thru the emotions instead of endless scrolling, in place of empty swiping...

Two stones marked sunrise
Revealing your demise
With the gathering light
The nightmare of the night
Forced upon my vision
Denial at the sight
Utter madness
No forgiveness
Slashing of the blade
Sins unforgiven by the pulpit
I shall have to replace all the carpets

Today it's scrambled egg and toast
Tomorrow will be strawberry jam
The pans boil and bubble
And smoke spells trouble
But today we have
Decoded the eggs from the scram

I know it’s strange
when I thought what I thought
about falling for you
yet there was never a choice
it was just something
my heart did without asking me

Two stones marked sunrise
his pleasant surprise
sandcastles and sea shells
Oceans tunes cast romantic spells
Sunset dinners and his warm smiles
dance under the moonlit sky
Our feet in sand blankets
I'll have to replace all the carpets

Today it's
scrambled eggs and toast
Its much to boast
In gratitude I thank the Lord
for this I can afford
in a cup terribly chipped
I have black tea too with no sugar dipped
How beautiful is life
with tunes of sweet rife
#FromOneLine
I know it's strange
the fearlessness of returning
shoeless
along familiar streets
my steps ringing out of time
and then
seven steps down
through the gap in the wire
to lay
below the water line
cool as a meander of silt
#FromOneLine 274
today
it’s scrambled eggs & toast
menu choice
never changes
food budget
suffocates
low rank job
demands performance
for pittance pay
fresh fruit
would be nice
bacon, sausage
would delight the palate
juice, milk
a pauper’s dream
sadly
dreams won’t fill
my belly

I know it's strange
that she wears
his love
like an elegant dream
as an exquisite beauty from
worlds unknown
I know it's strange
how he drapes himself
with her smile
lays buried
in wind chimes made of
her laughter
how wondrously
in sync
they are with their souls
#FromOneLine
I know it's strange because we've never met...but I love you. I've never seen your face, yet I know what draws a smile. Even if our hugs are only digital for now, does that make our connection less than real?
#FromOneLine 274
two stones
marked sunrise
hues spill on the floor
its last rays touch
my face as
i stand by the door
memories
flood my mind
of love that once
shone so bright
now paled like carpets
ripped in plain sight
with something latest
i'll have to
replace all the carpets
