The damn cowbirds (shitbirds) have to go. Scaring my song sparrow. Next batch is safflower seed. Hope it keeps them away.

Cowbirds are brown birds of the family of new world blackbirds. Cowbirds are brood parasites. This means they lay their eggs in the nests of another species of birds, and often kill some or all of the eggs of the real nests’ children.

This parasitic behavior seems very familiar.

We now have 2 babies! Since the cowbirds attack on the nest a couple of days ago…Daddy Eastern Phoebe is now coming in and feeding mom, so she doesn’t have to leave the nest🪺…love her little satisfied wiggle as she settles down on the babies😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Moved the WiFi feeder closer to the house. Getting a sayflower seed mix with other feed that will deter those rotten cowbirds. Hope to get the good birds back.

Few like the cowbirds. It is safe to say that Sir Cardinal doesn’t either.
