#GlosBirds Slimbridge Sightings From my visit today, The White Spotted Bluethroat showing occasionally and a distant Short Eared Owl at Mid-Point, 7 Dark Bellied Brent Geese and a Greenshank on the Dumbles. Also unfortunately witnessed a Carrion Crow raid an Avocet nest on the Rushy.

This Avocet chased off a Great Black-backed Gull from what might become the small island they choose to breed on.

1 Ortolan Bunting, 1 White-fronted goose 8 Hobby, 3 Lesser whitethroat, 2 Marsh harrier, 1 Lesser yellowlegs, 3 Little-ringed plover, 2 Mediterranean gull, 1 Cuckoo, 2 Yellow wagtail, 33 Avocet, 1 Common sand.
