Official Opening of the 3rd African Media Convention under the theme “Enhancing Freedom, Innovation and Environmental Sustainability in a Dynamic Media Landscape”.

This morning, I hosted a ministerial breakfast meeting for Ministers of various African countries participating in the ongoing Media Convention in Accra.

Our conversations revolved around Press Freedom, Media Literacy, Artificial Intelligence, Right/Access to Information,

On the side of the 3rd African Media Convention, I had three key engagements today.

This week Ghana will host the 3rd African Media Convention, President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, talks about the upcoming gathering.

Media Tour Day 3

I started the day at Ken City Media (Oman FM/ Net2 TV), then to MX24, Kingdom FM and ended at Global Media Alliance(Happy FM/YFM/YTV).

We had fruitful deliberations on key issues critical to the development of the media in Ghana.

On day two of my media tour, I visited and interacted with mangement and staff of the Western Group (Daily Guide/DGN/Guide Radio), Atinka Media Village and Pan African TV.

Our discussions centered on Press Freedom, challenges media houses and journalists face in the discharge

This morning, I commenced a media tour in Accra with courtesy visits to the EIB Network, Kessben FM/TV and Wontumi FM/Movement TV.

We deliberated on the media support programs introduced by government including the Media Capacity Enhancement Program and the Coordinated Mechanism
