On #VEDay we remember the men and women who sacrificed everything for our freedom.

On 8 May 1945, people around the world took to the streets to celebrate the end of World War 2 in Europe.

The world in 2030 will need 3.5x more critical minerals - often mined thousands of miles away - for clean energy tech than it does today.

We need more diverse, transparent, resilient and responsible mineral supply chains and welcome António Guterres’ new Panel to address this.

RSF forces are building up on the outskirts of El Fasher where 800,000 civilians are sheltering from fighting across Sudan.
 
The consequences of an attack on the city would be catastrophic.

The Security Council is united and clear: the SAF & RSF need to de-escalate immediately.

Sudan is facing one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Fighting has almost completely cut off aid access.

MSF International reports a child is dying every two hours in Zamzam camp.

The last thing Sudan needs is further escalation. We call on both sides to return to talks in Jeddah.

The UN Security Council is concerned by the military operations around El Fasher, Sudan.

The city is sheltering hundreds of thousands of people who have already fled violence.

The Council calls on the SAF and RSF to de-escalate and comply with international humanitarian law.
