The reason your feed has fewer reports on the ongoing mass slaughter in Gaza is because Israel has killed the reporters.

So medically assisted death has called me 12 times in 48 hours but a doctor couldn’t see or talk to me the entire year of 2023 to help me with my health.

The amount of joy & cool sh*t I see folks I know who’ve adapted to the realities of the pandemic are inspiring as hell.

“Living with COVID” doesn’t have to mean denialism, individualism, leaving vulnerable groups behind.

It can actually be community, imagination, inclusivity.

Don’t say you can’t make events COVID safer. This activism action had 400+ people engaged. Everyone wore N95 masks and tested 2 days in a row to make sure this event would be accessible to everyone.

There are more workers than ever with a disability due to Long COVID (and increasing remote work).

Economists estimate Long COVID has kept 4 million+ out of work in the US, and costs the economy at least $3.7 trillion.

You can't fight for worker justice if you ignore COVID.

One of the most ridiculous “middle ground” policies is when hospitals require masks in exam areas, but not in waiting rooms, hallways, lobbies or elevators. Airborne viruses don’t care about the “middle ground.” Not requiring masks in all areas puts patients and staff at risk.

Don’t call it eugenics has big don’t call it genocide energy. If the people saying this were outspokenly fighting against oppression & violence I’d have *slightly* more patience for their semantics. But no, they’re most often using semantic arguments to justify harm.

“This is what disability advocates have said all along, not that it usually sinks in: The able and the disabled aren’t two different kinds of people but the same people at different times.”

a lot of “leftists” ik want me to believe they condemn genocide but won’t even utter disability justice. i continue to be perplexed and saddened by this lack of continuity in a lot of our ethics. i can only pray peoples hearts change in the new year
