On this 20 year milestone of our accession to the 🇪🇺 family, I would like to congratulate Cyprus Parliament 🇨🇾🇪🇺 for its vital work within the EU family.

It is our duty to work hard for the present and the future, for citizens and the young people.

🇪🇺🇨🇾Together we are Europe.

Since 2004, 🇨🇾 has made remarkable progress in all areas as part of the 🇪🇺 family.

For 20 years, Cyprus is charting a brighter future for its citizens.

Celebrating this landmark anniversary and #EuropeDay today with President NikosChristodoulides and Margaritis Schinas.

Being part of the EU 🇪🇺 family has transformed 🇨🇾 for the better in the last 20 years.

We owe it to future generations to protect and uphold the rights and freedoms that define our Union.

Delighted to be at European Commission in Cyprus to celebrate #EuropeDay with President NikosChristodoulides.

For 20 years, 🇨🇾 has been a proud member of the EU 🇪🇺 family, a Union of solidarity and prosperity, united in diversity.

This morning the 🇪🇺 flag was raised on Eleftheria Square on #EuropeDay , celebrating a milestone anniversary for Cyprus.

As whooping cough #pertussis cases rise in Europe, we must remember that it is a serious illness, particularly for infants.

We have safe and effective vaccines that can prevent it.

Vaccination is our key tool to protect citizens and stop the disease spread.

Τοday visited the Gregorios Pulmonology/HIV Clinic at Larnaca Gen. Hospital🇨🇾.

With support from the #EU4Health programme, the clinic does excellent work to break the stigma for people living with HIV, ensuring access to testing, treatment and care.

It was a great pleasure to meet 🇬🇷Health Minister Άδωνις Γεωργιάδης on the sidelines of the #EPSCO Council today.

We had the opportunity to exchange on our shared priorities relating to a number of key health files that are central to our strong #HealthUnion .

Since 2021, HaDEA has been instrumental in shaping 🇪🇺 health policy, overseeing our ambitious #EU4Health program and truly making a difference for our citizens.

Was delighted to meet the colleagues driving this crucial work and extend my 🙏 for their invaluable support!

On #EIW2024 , we mark 50 years of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation. It has helped keep generations in Europe safe from preventable diseases.

With WHO/Europe and UNICEF Europe C.Asia, we continue to say ➡️vaccination save lives.
