This saga is a disgrace and proof that the Govt has lost control of these profiteering water firms. South West Water is no longer fit for purpose - it needs to be reformed from top to bottom and stop putting profit ahead of safety and the environment.

It's time to rescue British farmers from years of Conservative neglect, being taken for granted and failed rural policies. 🚜⬇️

It's astounding that Shropshire was not included in the recently announced Farming Recovery Fund, given the huge issues we face with flooding and after such a wet winter.

I have written to the Secretary of State for DEFRA alongside @TimFarron, asking them to put this right.

Conservative MPs have yet again voted against taking tough action on polluting and profiteering water firms.

This Government is standing idly by while water firms destroy our lakes, rivers and beaches with raw sewage.

It was my great pleasure to meet Laura Laker, author of 'Potholes and pavements' in Parliament yesterday. Laura has written about the development of the National Cycle Network - although with a title like that, it could easily have been a history of Community Politics!
