We've recently installed new rafts in the loch at RSPB Lochwinnoch nature reserve. These floating platforms provide a safe home for birds to nest and breed on, particularly Black-headed Gulls.

The work to bring new rafts to Lochwinnoch was supported by the SUEZ UK Communities

Our first Cygnets appeared on the pool in front of the visitor centre this afternoon 😍

Corncrake populations have fallen dramatically in recent years, and these secretive birds are now found mostly in the Western Isles and northwest coast.

Despite this, their unmistakable ‘crex crex’ call is the sound of the summer!
