Greg Sargent Not just fealty to Trump. 'Display in spectacle form' their contempt for the system of justice as part of a textbook strategy for taking down a democratic republic and replacing it with a corrupt autocracy. 'Only a strongman can fix it.' All their actions push in this direction.

Greg is spot-on. Trump placed himself over the rule of law for decades, as the “Teflon Don.” The serial failures of U.S. Department of Justice & Congress to hold him accountable have now come to a head, with bogus claims of “absolute immunity.” But no human can be above the law in the USA.

At this point the scandals at the Supreme Court are so grave that the inaction of the Congress re: investigating or doing anything about them is a scandal in itself. Why is the Democrat controlled Senate Judiciary Committee so inert?
