Celebration of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Berlin Blockade continues. We saw that Ambassador Amy Gutmann & @USBotschaft donated two historic planes to the Deutsches Technikmuseum, originally from National Museum USAF.

This honors the hope and solidarity of the time wonderfully.

We're gearing up for UEFA EURO 2024, which kicks off 6/14 in Munich. 24 teams will compete across 10 German cities. Germany will face Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland in the preliminaries. Having won 3 times before, we of course aim for victory again. Will you be watching? #euro2024

Foreign direct investment in Germany rose by over 37% last year, based on Germany Trade & Invest's annual FDI study. For comparison, it was up 2.2% worldwide and decreased slightly in Europe.

#OnThisDay 75 years ago, the Berlin Blockade ended. Through the Berlin Airlift, American, British, and French pilots supplied West Berlin with food, medicine & coal - saving millions. Defense Minister Pistorius called it “an incredibly strong symbol of transatlantic friendship”.

Ukraine urgently needs air defence systems – because they save innocent lives.

Today, Minister Pistorius and I announced that Canada will contribute $76 million to a German-led initiative that will quickly source and deliver air defence systems and missiles to Ukraine.

Besieged, liberated, shelled: the people of #Kharkiv continue to bravely resist the constant Russian bombardment. Your courage calls for our solidarity. Together with our partners, we stand by #Ukraine and need to ensure the necessary support for its defence.
