There are two types of basketball players Seekers and Avoiders. Seekers are active, moving, engaged, alert, enjoy contact, speak up, and give everything they have. Avoiders are not active, not moving, not engaged, avoid contact, don’t say much, and give only what they feel like!

Natalee Goff has made it official. So happy to have her join this talented Emmanuel University Lady Lions team. Her and the Athens Christian High School Eagles ladies are going to have a great year.

Core value number 12 and our last one is to Finish Strong. Finish strong in everything we do. Finish the drill, Finish the assignment, Finish the semester, Finish your tasks. Do it strong and with all you have. Don’t fake this or save for the last sprint. Make this a habit!

Core value number 11 is No Whining. Negative talk and constant complaining can take energy away from the team. Eliminate negative talk and replace it with being grateful and thankful. Abe Lincoln said, “You are as happy as you want to be.” Bring positivity with you everyday!

Core value number 10 is Be Approachable. As a good teammate you must be open to listening to your coaches and fellow teammates when they approach you about suggestions. Being approachable can also show up in your body language and paying attention when you are being coached.

Core value number 9 is Do what you are supposed to do when you are supposed to do it whether you feel like it or not! Show up and do the work consistently. This will give you an advantage over many for most don’t do this.

Core value number 8 is Next Play. Don’t live in the past it’s in the rear view mirror learn and move forward. This is about mistake response. Don’t linger on your mistakes. Instead after a mistake recover quickly and elevate your response so you can help your team immediately.
