Yesterday, February 13th, 2024, TG 441.03 was able to help make France's coastal waters safer. Mine divers from the FS Andromede destroyed the 700 kg air mine (LMB) with tactical explosive charges. 💥

In the last days I visited all the ships in the group and got an overview of the capabilities.

At the very end of the first HOD week, an air mine (LMB)💣 was detected by the Task Group 441.03. Preparations for the countermining are in progress.

⚔️ Our group has been training more and more intensely for the last couple of weeks in order to build a strong base of co-operation between our ships in different maritime environments.

#NATO #SNMCMG1 ships conducted replenishment at sea (RAS) in the Danish Strait. Replenishment at sea is a method of transferring fuel, munitions, and stores from one ship to another while under way.

Poland🇵🇱 transferred command of #SNMCMG1 to Germany🇩🇪 during the ceremony held held in Świnoujście Naval Base⚓️, Poland.

Commander Piotr Bartosewicz of the Polish Navy who led the group for the last half year, handed over the command to Commander Artur Krüger of the German Navy.

The first Finnish-led maritime exercise Freezing Winds 23 came to an end. It was conducted in the Gulf of Finland, Archipelago Sea, and off the southern coast of Finland🇫🇮

#SNMCMG1 participated in the ex. together with around 4,000 personnel from allied and partners countries💪

During #FRWI23 🇫🇮, among thousands of islands of Archipelago Sea, #SNMCMG1 is training force porotection procedures🛡️ to maximize the ability to disrupt unpredictable attacks, provide the earliest possible warning, and ensure the best protection when threats occur💪

First major naval exercise led by Finland🇫🇮 as a member of #NATO - Freezing Winds 23❄️🌬️ kicks off today in Turku.

For the next two weeks 🇫🇷🇩🇪🇳🇱🇵🇱 #SNMCMG1 vessels will conduct naval operation together with allies. Exercise will geather more than 4000 personnel. #StrongerTogether

5️⃣ minehunters🇧🇪🇩🇪🇪🇪🇱🇹🇳🇱, two minesweepers🇵🇱 and divers🇵🇹 covered an area of more than 2️⃣2️⃣ sq. nautical miles off the coast of 🇪🇪 and classified 2️⃣2️⃣8️⃣ as mine-like objects. Finally, 1️⃣6️⃣ of them were positively identified as historical mines and neutralized💥 during #ESTHODOPS .

#SNMCMG1 will show you how we are dealing with💪 post-war ordnances in the Baltic Sea region. During #ESTHODOPS we neutralised💥 ordnances from from WWI and WWII.

Last days #SNMCMG1 🇵🇱🇧🇪🇩🇪🇳🇱ships⚓️ were hosted in Tallinn🇪🇪. Now our task group is strengthened💪 by allied minehunters from 🇪🇪&🇱🇹 to conduct MCM operations - #ESTHODOPS off the coast of Estonia.

We are eager and determined to neutralise💥 some underwater post-war leftovers ‼️
