Aviators from the 4ID Combat Aviation Brigade attended the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Event. MG Doyle was the guest speaker for the opening ceremony, and he spoke on how 4ID is leading aviation modernization and development at the Mountain Post.

4ID captured Cherbourg on June 25, 1944, after 26 days of intense fighting. The division's 8th Infantry Regiment was one of the first Allied units to land at Normandy on D-Day. This was critical to the Allies' future success in France's liberation.
